Only by transferring the traditional roles in management, interference, and ban to the public servants, the ideas of service marketing and high quality service meet the social demands. When facing the illegal cases, the police should enforce the laws legally and gain people's confidence in the police. In addition, the police and the people should manage the community and solve community's public security problems positively together, which is the key to the community policing we advocate. Only through the community policing, the police promise citizens a safe and fear-free life. Overview of the jurisdiction   This city, 104.964 sq. km, is located in the northwestern part of Taiwan with the population of 361,609, and lies on the opposite side of Hsinchu County and on the east of the Taiwan Straits with the 12.5 km coastlines.  There are Science Park, Hsinchu Air Force Airport, fishing port, and six universities in Hsinchu. The industry and commerce are growing in this city, which leads this city to the important traffic hub in the northwestern part of Taiwan. Overview of the organization   There are 925 officers, 16 Sections, 4 Brigades, 15 Sub-Police Stations, 3 Precincts, and 203 Beats in the HCCPB Overview of the service items   • Strengthen and maintain the society security to offer the people a good quality environment. • Improve the traffic order to free the public from danger. • Purify the social values by cracking down on gambling and pornography. • Promote the idea NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH to maintain the public security. • Strengthen the citizen-oriented service to offer convenient measures. Performance of citizen-oriented service   • Carry out the Plan-Assessment-Management Project. • Research and set up the content of the plans. • Improve the environment, facilities, and efficiency of service. • Offer guidance and assistance to the retired police officers to join the volunteers. • Nominate the people to handle the public service. • Respond to the sudden incidents with the public. • Coordinate with the enterprises and civil groups to set up services. • Interact with the community by publishing the monthly magazine COMMUNITY’S PUBLIC SECURITY • Strengthen missing people searching. • Protect the people withdrawing their deposits. • Make the public facilities of government organizations open to the public. Direction of the future   • Frame the citizen-oriented service administration concept. • The police consider the public as customers and pursuit the highest service standard. • Look forward to improving the public security and the traffic. • Maintain the public security and traffic. • Public Opinion-Based Policing.         :::
